BurstNET® PA Data Center 1 - Scranton/Dunmore

Original Facility

The existing BurstNET® Scranton PA facility, previously housed our corporate global headquarters for about a decade, prior to our 2012 relocation three miles away to Dunmore PA. The 11,000 sq ft Tier II facility was purpose-built for housing budget-based Web Hosting operations, BurstNET's® primary client base focus for the past two decades. This facility will be retired by 2014, as BurstNET® is relocating to our new flagship facility in Dunmore PA.

The BurstNET® facilities in Scranton PA and Dunmore PA are connected to each other via dark fiber, across the short metro market distance. This facility is currently connected via multiple lit 10G wavelengths to New York City NY and Philadelphia PA, and will also be able to route via the Dunmore PA facility transport connectivity. That connectivity includes a lit 10G wavelength to Chicago, IL as well as BurstNET's® own DWDM fiber optic network (1G, 10G, 40G, & 100G multi-circuit capable), running over leased dark fiber, directly connected to major New York City and New Jersey carrier hotels, followed later in 2013 by the same to Philadelphia PA.

The facility is centrally located two hours west of New York City, two hours north of Philadelphia, and five hours east of Pittsburgh. Travel is convenient with a location a few blocks from interstate US-81, and near the intersections of: US-81 & US-84, and PA Turnpike 476:
